New pictures from Seafast

We have uploaded new pictures from Seafast, the latest delivery from Seigla.

You can see the pictures here

The specifications of the boat are:

Length: 14,96 meter
Width: 4,60
Engine type: MAN

One unique part of the system is the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) which is the heart of the boat. You can control almost the whole boat with a 7.5” touch screen interface. One touch and the boat is ready for the purpose you selected. Another feature, but not less important is that you have complete control over the alarm system for bilge, fire, bulb-fail in the Navigation system etc. All this is standard on every larger boat from Seigla.

The fire alarm system consists of smoke detectors in the wheelhouse, cabin(s) and the engine room and heat detector in the engine room. In case of a fire they will activate an alarm siren and a message will appear in the touch screen of the Human-Machine Interface (HMI). An aerosol fire extinguisher bomb(s) in the engine room can be activated manually from the engine room entrance.

Shortly the HMI is offering features like:

  • Quick-menu in the touch screen, programmable according to customers needs.
  • Control over the complete alarm system
  • Control over the heating and Wipers with up to 60 sec time delay.
  • Control of the drop keel
  • Control of the lights
  • Control of the navigation lights
  • Control of the Hydraulics
  • Control of the pumps

All navigation equipment are installed by Rafröst Ehf, this is the top of the line equipment. From JRC: GPS compass, GPS, AIS and Radar. An Olex 3D plotter, a Furumo CH-300 Sonar, Comnav autopilot and a Simrad ES-60 Fishfinder. The two 17” and two 15” flat screens are integrated in the dashboard.

For extra security there is installed from Seiwa Oyster a back-up plotter and two cameras for monitoring the engine room and the deck. A flat screen behind the captain chair makes it possible to follow everything from the deck. This can be made according to customers needs.

The advanced 5 kW combined inverter/charger is delivering 230 V AC power while on sea, and with the boat connected to shore power it charges the 24 VDC batteries. In the bridge are all necessary meters to monitor the condition of the power on board, i.e. voltage and consumption/charge current, Hz and more.

With main engine running, a high quality alternator can deliver 210 A of 24 V DC.

A 7 Kw Cummins marine class generator is installed in the engine room.

This is the first Seigur delivered with the ASC (AutoStartControl) from Rafeyri. This system has been developed by Rafeyri, as no other system could not cover all the requirements. The system has 4 modes:

1                    Auto select
2                    Manually select 230V from the inverter
3                    Manually select 230V from Generator set
4                    Manually select 230V from Shore connection

With the selector on auto, the system will monitor the consumer batteries and automatically start the 230 V Generator set when needed, then after a few sec. it will connect the Gen-set to the power distribution and the Inverter/charger will charge the batteries. If the Gen-set does not run after (5) starting attempts with (30)sec interval, an alarm LED will go on and the system does not start the engine again until a reset-button is pressed manually. When the batteries are fully charged the ASC will disconnect the Gen-set, let the engine run without load for 2 minutes and then shut down the engine.

A multistage interlock prevent the Gen-set and Shore power to be connected at the same time.

The boats interior is illuminated with halogen lights dimmable for extra comfort and extended bulb lifetime, and small economic fluorescent lights where the heat from the halogen lights is considered to high. 1” LED lights on the outer inside of the wheelhouse and according to the Norwegian rules also a 12 VDC emergency light. On deck you will find 2 fluorescent lights and 1 work light over the fish hauler and one for deck on the engine house. The engine room has three fluorescent lights and an emergency light. In the fish hold there are two fluorescent lights integrated in the hull in water-resistant compartments, so they do not take space from the fish hold. Also a Xenon search light on the roof of the wheelhouse.

The kitchen is also completely running on electricity, with a refrigerator, microwave, oven, boiler, ventilator and 4 cooking plates.  No open fire in the kitchen for safety reasons.

The 19” LCD/TV and radio/CD player with 2 waterproof speakers on deck and 4 in the wheelhouse and cabin are finishing the job.

All the boats have integrated cable ways on both sides, holes for access where ever needed and where the cables are visible they are securely tied on stainless steel rails developed and made in Akureyri specially for the boat- and ship industry.

The vacuum infused fibreglass insulates – which means: no condensation inside the vessel, which is better for the electrical equipments and offers more comfort for people on board.

Powered by a MAN engine and a Sleipner bow- and sternthruster. Hydraulics is from Danfoss Sauer. Pallfinger crane and a drop keel. The fishing equipment has been installed in Norway.
