S-65 Elise Kristin

A new boat is delivered by Seigla Ehf. The boat has been delivered to Kastor AS from Botnhamn in Norway. It is the second 13 meter boat from Seigla delivered to Norway this year. Two more will follow this year.

The specifications of the boat are:

Fish hold: 17x 660 ltr containers from Sælplast
Fuel tank: ca 3500 ltr
Water tank: 200 ltr

Standard
Standard with all larger Seigur boats:
- HMI (Human machine interface)
- GRP sandwich PVC construction. Made by VARTM (Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding)
- Drop keel  (Nor-Fishing innovation prize winner of 2008)
- Integrated windows in the construction

VARTM
The GRP sandwich PVC construction have proved to be important on fast fishing boats, as the late accident in Norway showed, where almost three people killed when two of the front windows were blown in by a rough sea. They were in a hand-laid single skin fiberglass boat what has it’s limits. These limits you do not have with the GRP sandwich PVC construction, the limit is here when the glass will break, not when the fiberglass will give in as with hand-laid single skin fiberglass. Engine
The engine will have an Europafilter installed for oil cleaning, this reduces the number of times to change the oil significant.

Electronic system
Rafeyri Ehf has installed the complete electrical system

Hydraulics
On the engine there are 2 hydraulic pumps installed, 1x 147 ltr and 1x 75 ltr, both from Danfoss Sauer, the control block is for 6 users, with a 300 ltr tank with cooling. Everything connected with pipes (not hoses!)

HMI
Shortly the HMI is offering features like:
Quick-menu in the touch screen, programmable according to customers needs.
Control over the complete alarm system
Control over the heating and Wipers with up to 60 sec time delay.
Control of the drop keel
Control of the lights
Control of the navigation lights
Control of the Hydraulics
Control of the pumps

Heating
The heating is provided through floor heating in the cabin and wheelhouse. When the main engine is not running, the Eberspächer 10 Kw takes over this job. In addition to this there are 4 airblowers outlets 1 in the wheel house, 1 in the toilett room and 2 in each cabin. When the boat is connected to a land connection, the two 2 Kw heaters are providing the heat in the cabin and in the engine room.

Navigation equipment
Delivered by Nautik Elektronikk AS in Norway and installed by Rafröst in Iceland.  The boats shows here how spacious it is, all equipment is installed neatly in the dashboard and beside the captain.

Cabin
There is accommodation for 4 people, there are two cabins each can accommodate 2 persons. 

Wheelhouse
There is a large U-bench and a table. The spacious galley has four electrical cooking plates, so no open fire, a microwave, an oven, a refridgerator and a ventilator. A sink with warm and cold water.

Fishing equipment
Lorentzen Mek. In Norway will take care of the installation of the fishing equipment.

Approval
The stability of the boat is approved for bankfiske 1 and 2.
